Seafood @ Langat Seafood & Beer Garden, Pekan Hulu Langat

* NON - HALAL

2008 Christmas Eve was a special one. Unlike the rest that had party here and there, I went to food hunting. To make things interesting, we went for seafood in a jungle. Joyce took me and Rachel to this jungle place. Its at right at the heart of Pekan Hulu Langat. From my place in Cheras about 20-30 min journey. I told Joyce, this place must be good.

We started off with vege... then their we ordered their "butter prawns with tong fun in claypot"... The sauce was magnificently thick and the prawns were fresh. This dish needed to wait for a while for the sauce to be blended with the tong fun. Great stuff!

We also orderd their famous tau fu. The tau fu will then cooked in their special sauce. Lastly we ordered a steamed fish in claypot. This could be the first time I eat a fish cooked in this method. Fish will be steamed inside claypot and then mixed with the sauce.

Even though its a beer garden but we didn't manage to drink any beer. Since it was Christmas eve, the restaurant is not packed as it used to be.

Believe it or not, the whole feast only cost us lessed than RM 100!! The service was good, food was good and the price was good. However, location a bit not too good, too deep in the jungle!

Tiang Seng Pulau Ketam Steamboat @ Taman Desa (Oct 08)

* NON - HALAL

The places that you often go to eat are the ones you gonna neglect about them. To my knowledge, there's a few popular steamboat restaurants here in Taman Desa. Tiang Seng is one of them.
Often it will be packed at night times. You can even see Japanese customers as there are a small Japanese community staying in Taman Desa. The lady boss runs the show here and she is very friendly.

The food here are freshly transported from Pulau Ketam as she claimed. The soup here is good and especially the chilli sauce. Usually a set will cost less than RM 15 per pax (min 2 pax) excluding the lovely side orders they have. I loved their side orders such as pork balls, special taufu and a few more. Its a good place for steamboat.

Canton-I @ One Utama

* NON - HALAL

A few of my friends loved this place very much. Good thing about this place is, its in One Utama. Even though I stayed in Cheras, but I'm everywhere in Klang Valley. I went there with Rachel and Laney one day.

I loved their deco. White and a bit of red. Lovely..
We ordered the fish porridge with "you tiao" and cheong fun. Porridge was good, I loved it. Cheong Fun was okay.
We ordered then the "abalone shaped" lotus paste pastry. Egg yolk bun, that was good.
Egg tarts, loved them and lastly "char siew" buns... loved them also...
Service was pretty good. I loved their deco. Food was good to fantastic. Per pax around RM 30. Price is a bit high but I felt its worth it. It would be a YES for me to go back again. Lovely food. Would love to try out their pork and BBQ dishes, seen a lot of ppl ordered those.
