Famous Lam Mee @ May King, Pudu

It has been a while. The last time I was at May King was probably at least more than 10 years ago. I was still in high school back then where my parents brought me here. The place has changed quite a bit now. New signboards and its now air conditioned.

A few weeks ago, I went there disappointed as it was a Monday. They closed on Mondays.

This time around, I was not disappointed. I went there with my trainees and we found a parking across the road. It was lunch time and the crowd starting to fill up the tables of May King. We got a bit lucky and got ourselves a table at the back of the restaurant. We waited no more and ordered the famous lam mee and a few side orders.

We ordered the pork meat balls. Even though it might not be the most amazing pork meat balls I had before but they were good.

may2

I named this mixed meat roll. It was something like mixed meat with foo chuk skin.

Lastly, the Lam Mee. When the lam mee came, I almost could feel my tears after I came at the wrong day earlier on. Lam mee was fantastic. The paste was thick and rich in taste. When mixed it together with noodles, it was amazing. For extra more favour in your taste bud, just add a little bit of vinegar. Everyone literally "cleaned" the plates. It was satisfaction guaranteed.

The pork meat ball and mixed meat roll was RM 0.90 per piece. The amazing lam mee was only RM 5.50 per plate. The portion was just nice but some could "whack" 2 plates. The place was well air conditioned and service was good. Serving time was just minutes.

I will definitely come back again for my lam mee crave.

For lam mee lovers, this is RECOMMENDABLE!
