The scenes of Perak trunk roads...

I was off to Pangkor few days ago and as usual during my drive from Bidor to Lumut, Rachel helped me took a few shots of the beautiful scenes of the trunk roads of Perak.

The baby palm oil estate. It will boom in a few years time.
Can you see the difference between the baby palm oil and the mature palm oil trees?
The huge Sungai of Perak or the Perak River, we were crossing the Sultan Azlan Shah bridge if I was not mistaken.
Padi fields of Perak state.
More padi fields.
The coconut estate. If you look carefully there are hundreds or even thousands of them.

Driving around the trunk roads of Perak are quite enjoying plus the different plantations along the way. The roads are easy to drive and the road signs are well positioned unlike Kuala Lumpur. Kudos Perak!

Fireworks at PutraJaya!

It would be "once in a blue moon" to go to Putrajaya. Indeed this was one of the days. Proud to say, Putrajaya was holding an international fireworks competition. It was indeed something that is rare.

The fireworks that filled the night sky with amazing displays.

The fireworks are up!

And the ever amazing finale. This fireworks team is from Italy. Estimated there were thousands of people jamming their way to PutraJaya. It took us around 2 hours to get back to KL. For the 30 min of fireworks, it was worth it. This are not the normal cheap fireworks you saw from KLCC, this are really amazing fireworks that matched those from Disneyland in US. Aug 30th and the final Sept 2 are the last 2 dates. Fireworks starts at 10.30pm.

It was once in a lifetime experience!

Peranakan House, Taman SEA

This little hidden nice restaurant is located at Taman SEA.

I never really had a Peranakan (Nyonya) food in Klang Valley before. Well, the surprise element about this was, my dad brought me there. Travelling from Cheras to PJ for a Peranakan meal, it must be good.

Known as the Peranakan House...

I love this prawn dish. Not too spicy, just right into the taste.

The fried "sotong" is marvelous and veggie... I didn't try.. I'm not a veggie lover... but they said its good... The fried "sotong" (squid) was very crispy.

The signature chicken dish.. different I must say. The taste was somehow very "new" to me. It didn't taste weird, just unusual. It was good.

The price is being reasonable and the foods are good. If you are nearby Taman SEA why don't give this place a try. By the way, the service of this restaurant was good. Recommendable!
