Medan Selera Kheng Heong, Brickfields (Jan 09)

* NON - HALAL

Like some of the places I blogged about. I drove passed the place so many times and wondered why didn't I go there at the first place?

Medan Selera Kheng Heong is located at the opposite of the Brickfields Police Station before the traffic lights (KFC). There's a row of wooden shoplots and Kheng Heong is one of them. I was told that they were there for years and one lovely evening, I went there with Rachel and her family.
We order Tau Fu with Minced Meat (Pork). This was good. The sauce is lovely but some might said its a bit salty. To me, the sauce is in good place.

Next, the "4 Heavenly Kings Vege Dish". This dish was not too bad but a bit oily to my liking. The taste was there.

Claypot Salted Fish with Pork. I loved this dish. The aroma of the salted fish blended nicely with the sauce and the meat.

Steamed Fish with Minced Ginger. Another good dish. I felt maybe there wasn't any crowd at that time so the chef got all his time to make the dishes so lovely.

The place is usually packed at night. However the night we went there, it was raining and coincidently there was protest at the Brickfields Police Station.

The feast only cost us less than RM 70. Food was good, a bit oily for a few dishes. Service was good also. I don't mind dropping by again.
